Napoleons Casino & Restaurant Sheffield is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated full time Head Chef for our 50-seat restaurant and busy bar food and beverage operation

You will be knowledgeable in all aspects of kitchen management including exceptional levels of food hygiene, health & safety, stock control and have a strong financial acumen.

Job Summary

The successful candidate should have the ability and confidence to run a busy kitchen and have good all-round experience of all areas of the kitchen with good communication skills and work well within a small enthusiastic team.

Main Duties

• To ensure that food is prepared and presented to the highest standards
• To liaise closely with the management team, all sections of the kitchen and restaurant to ensure efficient service and maintain high levels of communication with colleagues and other staff.
• To supervise and ensure the kitchen meets exceptional levels of food safety.
• Recruiting, training and developing the kitchen team.

Ensuring the business is safe and compliant, meeting FSA & HSE regulations to reach a high score from EHO.

Ensure HACCP policies and procedures are implemented and all relevant documentation is completed correctly

Ensure the kitchen is staffed appropriately in line with demand and budgets without compromising standards

• Ensure the kitchen meets financial management targets and monitors and records food wastage.

Person Specification:

• Have relevant qualifications and a minimum of 3-4 years’ experience as a Head Chef/Sous Chef in an organisation of similar size and operation.
• Experience in high volume kitchens working with fresh food and the ability to work well under pressure is essential
• Able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.
• Must be willing to work varied shifts.
• Good communication skills are essential.

Job Summary

The successful candidate should have good all-round experience and knowledge of working /leading a small team within the Casino industry and the ability to be able to ensure the efficient and effective running of the Gaming Pit within the constraints of all Legislation.

Have excellent communication skills and work well within a small enthusiast team and on their own. To ensure compliance with Legislation and company procedures in respect of Gambling Commission’s LCCP and including Health & Safety in the workplace and public areas at all times. Ensuring compliance with all Data Protection Legislation.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £10.70 – £11.74 per hour
