CHEF DE PARTIE

Napoleons Casino & Restaurant, Sheffield are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated full time Chef de Partie for their 60-seat restaurant and busy bar food and beverage operation.

Job Summary

  • The successful candidate should have the ability and confidence to run a section and have good all-round experience of all areas of the kitchen.
  • Have good communication skills and work well within a small enthusiast team.

Main Duties

  • To ensure that food is prepared and presented to the highest standards set by the Head Chef for the restaurant and bar.
  • To be fully conversant with all menus, in particular items which are the responsibility of your section.
  • To liaise closely with all sections of the kitchen and restaurant to ensure efficient service and maintain high levels of communication with colleagues and other staff.
  • To help supervise and check the kitchen meets exception levels of food safety and meets all FSA & HSE requirements.

Person Specification

  • 2 years experience working in a similar type of operation.
  • Experience in high volume kitchens working with fresh food and the ability to work well under pressure is essential
  • Able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
  • Must be willing to work varied shifts and weekends.
  • Good communication skills are essential.
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent preferred

Job Summary

The successful candidate should have good all-round experience and knowledge of working /leading a small team within the Casino industry and the ability to be able to ensure the efficient and effective running of the Gaming Pit within the constraints of all Legislation.

Have excellent communication skills and work well within a small enthusiast team and on their own. To ensure compliance with Legislation and company procedures in respect of Gambling Commission’s LCCP and including Health & Safety in the workplace and public areas at all times. Ensuring compliance with all Data Protection Legislation.

Napoleons Casino is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated full time Head of Department – Bar and Restaurant to lead our team for our 60-seat restaurant and busy bar food and beverage operation.

As the Head of Department Bar and Restaurant you will play a big part in making sure that each service runs as seamlessly as possible, through efficient planning, organisation and preparation before each service and supervising the restaurant team as they provide the high standards expected by our guests. You will be required to work evenings and weekends, just like the rest of the team. This job specifies a 40 hour week, but you need to be prepared to work longer if necessary.

You must be customer service focused and committed to providing a helpful, friendly service, have good verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail. You will be a hands on supervisor, setting an example at all times. The ability to prioritise your workload is a must. An individual with a pro-active stance towards problem solving, who displays a positive attitude and calmness under pressure is exactly what we are looking for. Previous experience in a hospitality based supervisory role and must have strong team leadership skills. You must possess the ability to work well under pressure, think on your feet and have a high level of initiative.
