Job Summary

The successful candidate should have good all-round experience and knowledge of leading small a team within the Casino industry and the ability to be able to ensure the efficient and effective running of the Gaming Pit within the constraints of all Legislation.

Have excellent communication skills and work well within a small enthusiast team and on their own.  To ensure compliance with Legislation and company procedures in respect of Gambling Commission’s LCCP and including Health & Safety in the workplace and public areas at all times.  Ensuring compliance with all Data Protection Legislation.

To ensure all gaming operations are carried out to the highest standard of efficiency, security, and customer service (especially that the proper supervision of gaming at tables is carried out to ensure that the integrity of the gaming is not compromised) in accordance with:

  • The policies and procedures contained in this Manual of Gaming Procedures.
  • The Gambling Act 2005, the Gambling Commission’s Licence Conditions and Codes of Practice (LCCP) and the Money Laundering Regulations and Guidelines.

 

Person Specification:

  • Able to work on own initiative.
  • PFL accreditation with the Gambling Commission.
  • Must be willing to work varied shifts and follow instructions as well as giving clear communication to the management team.
  • Excellent communication skills are essential.

SECOND CHEF

Napoleons Casino & Restaurant Hull is recruiting an enthusiastic and dedicated full time Sous Chef for our 90-seat restaurant and busy bar food and beverage operation.

Napoleons Casinos & Restaurants are operated by a privately owned UK family business, The A&S Leisure Group, with over 50 years in the leisure and hospitality sector.

We have a commitment to providing first class venues and outstanding customer service for our clientele. Our Group employs over 650 people across 7 leisure & entertainment businesses.

We are looking to appoint a very competent Sous Chef looking for that next progression in their career under the guidance of our Head Chef at our 90-seat restaurant and busy bar food operation.

In the absence of the Head Chef, you will be expected to take the lead in all areas of the running of the kitchen. You will be confident working on all sections in the kitchen whilst also assisting with the supervision and training of the less senior members of the brigade. Experience in high volume kitchens working with fresh food and the ability to work well under pressure is essential.

The right candidate will work closely with the Head Chef to ensure food prepared is exceptional, consistent and presented with the greatest of care. They will also assist the Head Chef to develop new dishes and menus

Following guidance from the Head Chef, the right applicant will have exceptional levels of food hygiene, health & safety and stock & cost control.

Job Summary

The successful candidate should have the ability and confidence to run all aspects of the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef and have a good all-round experience of all areas of the kitchen.

Have good communication skills and work well within a small enthusiast team.

Main Duties

  • To ensure that food is prepared and presented to the highest standards set by the Head Chef for the restaurant and bar.
  • To be fully conversant with all menus
  • To liaise closely with all sections of the kitchen and restaurant to ensure efficient service and maintain high levels of communication with colleagues and other staff.
  • To help supervise and check the kitchen standards meet exception levels of food safety and all relevant FSA & HSE requirements.

Person Specification:

  • 2 years’ experience working in a similar type of operation.
  • Experience in high volume kitchens working with fresh food and the ability to work well under pressure is essential
  • Able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
  • Must be willing to work varied shifts.
  • Good communication skills are essential.
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent preferred
