RECEPTIONIST

Napoleons Casino & Restaurant HULL is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated full or part time Receptionist.

Napoleons Casinos & Restaurants are operated by a privately owned UK family business, The A & S Leisure Group Limited, with over 50 years in the leisure and hospitality sector.

Job Summary

The successful candidate should have good all-round experience and knowledge of being part of a reception team being able to ensure the efficient and effective running of reception desk within the branch.

Have good communication skills and work well within a small enthusiast team and on their own. To ensure compliance with Legislation and company procedures in respect of LCCP and including Health & Safety in the workplace and the reception area at all times.

To maintain strict application of the Challenge 21 (25) procedures in order to ensure no underage customers gain access to the casino at any time.

Main Duties

  • To greet all visitors to the Casino in a customer focused, professional and helpful manner.
  • To be fully conversant and comply with all aspects of gambling and AML legislation and LCCP including company policy and procedures relating to the department, Health & Safety and security.
  • To maintain strict application of the Challenge 21 (25) procedures in order to ensure no underage customers gain access to the casino at any time.
  • To deal with all phone calls in a customer focussed professional manner, taking and relaying messages effectively.
  • To maintain accurately the Neon members database ensuring this is kept up-to date at all times. Ensuring compliance with AML Regulations, GDPR and Data Protection Legislation in respect of identification documents and any other documentation produced.
  • To be able to explain and actively promote all club facilities and promotional activities.
  • To seek and take advantage of opportunities for personal development actively within the business.

Person Specification:

  • Able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
  • Must be willing to work varied shifts and follow instruction.
  • Good communication skills are essential.
  • NVQ Level 2 or equivalent preferred, but not essential.

CATERING MANAGER

Napoleons Casino is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated full time Catering Manager to lead our team for our 40-seat restaurant and busy bar food and beverage operation.

We have a commitment to providing first class venues and outstanding customer service for our clientele. Our Group employs over 650 people across 8 leisure & entertainment businesses.

As the Catering Manager you will play a big part in making sure that each service runs as seamlessly as possible, through efficient planning, organisation and preparation before each service and supervising the restaurant team as they provide the high standards expected by our guests. You will be required to work evenings and weekends, just like the rest of the team. This job specifies a 40 hour week, but you need to be prepared to work longer if necessary.

You must be customer service focused and committed to providing a helpful, friendly service, have good verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail. You will be a hands on manager, leading by example at all times. The ability to prioritise your workload is a must. An individual with a pro-active stance towards problem solving, who displays a positive attitude and calmness under pressure is exactly what we are looking for. Previous experience in a hospitality based supervisory or management role and must have strong team leadership skills. You must possess the ability to work well under pressure, think on your feet and have a high level of initiative.

You will be knowledgeable in all aspects of restaurant and bar management including exceptional levels of food hygiene, health & safety, stock control and have a strong financial acumen.
