PRESS RELEASE
01 May 2017
The team Napoleons Casino in Leeds are all getting on board for this year’s Dragon Boat Race at Roundhay Park all in aid of Martin House Children’s Hospice.
The annual event will take place on Sunday 21st May 2017 between 10am & 5pm and raises money for Martin House who provide family led care for children with life shortening conditions. It is a place where children, young people and their families can come to stay from time to time along their journey and find support, rest and practical help.
Napoleons are proud to once again be entering a team who will be taking part in fancy dress, this year as super heroes. The race takes part over one day and each team will take part in a minimum of 3 races before the fastest teams goes through to the semi-final.
Napoleons will also be sponsoring the annual Tug of War competition for which they currently hold the trophy for.
General Manager at Napoleons, Sandy Kopec, commented: “We’re so excited to be supporting the Dragon Boat Race again this year at Roundhay Park. It’s a great day out & we’re all looking forward to getting into the spirit of it all and raising funds for Martin House. We’re also sponsoring the annual Tug of War which we actually won last year so the team are hoping we can hold onto the trophy!
“As well as all the usual fantastic entertainment on the day we’ll be doing our own BBQ with our Head Chef Nick producing some special treats for everyone to enjoy.”
